Travel and Hotel
SWANSEA

Travelling by Road:
- Travelling West on the M4, leave the motorway at J42 and follow signs for Swansea on A483 (Fabian Way).
- On crossing the River Tawe, the A483 becomes the A4067.
- Continue West along this road, passing Sainsbury’s Supermarket on the left-hand side of the road.
- After approx 1.5miles a footbridge crosses over the road and is controlled by traffic lights. As you approach the lights, keep to the right-hand lane and prepare to turn right into the University.
- There is a Visitor Car Park immediately right of the main entrance. Pay and Display.

Travelling by Train:
- High-speed InterCity trains run at hourly intervals from London Paddington to Swansea. Travel time approx 2hrs 50mins. The main InterCity services offer connections to Swansea from Birmingham, Bristol Parkway, Cardiff and London.
- There are also regional services via Sprinter trains to West, Mid and North Wales.

Travelling by Bus:
- Inter-city journeys by bus terminate at the Quadrant Bus Station. Catch local bus number 3A direct to the campus. Alternatively, take bus numbers 2 or 3 – these stop immediately outside the main entrance.

Travelling by Air:
- From Heathrow Airport: Either take the Rail-Air Link bus to Reading and the train from Reading to Swansea, or take the train from Heathrow to London Paddington rail station and the train from Paddington to Swansea.
- From Gatwick Airport: Take the train from Gatwick to Reading and the train from Reading to Swansea, or take the train from Gatwick to central London, crossing London on the Tube to London Paddington rail station and the train from Paddington to Swansea.
- From Cardiff Airport: Catch a local bus service or take a taxi to central Cardiff and then make local rail or bus connections from Cardiff to Swansea. Alternatively, taxis are available from Cardiff airport who will take you directly to Swansea (approx. cost for this journey in 2009, 60GBP per one way journey for up to 4 people).
